Blogging is an interesting phenomena that allows most anyone with an internet connection to dialogue with the world. I suppose it is helpful for “the world” to know a little about the one who is writing so as to make a more informed judgment about their sanity or lack thereof.
For this blogger- I am a husband and father of three, currently a student, a minister of Christ (professionally, I am minister with the Church of God, Cleveland, TN), and eager to serve. I am conservative theologically and my heart yearns for a biblical move of the Spirit as described in the New Testament. The current focus of my academic work is in the area of pastoral succession and transitions. I am also interested in the 24/7 prayer movement, family-integrated church, and practical holiness.
My reason for writing here is to improve my skills, concentrate my thoughts on certain topics and learn from those who are willing to provide feedback.
My goals are to live life fully in Christ (John 10:10), marked by acts of faith (Heb 11), knowing God intimately (John 15), courageously loving my wife and family (Eph 5), leading in a local church (Eph 4), and communicating God’s truth (2 Tim 3), in order that multiple generations globally might experience the full life in Christ for God’s glory (Psalm 78).
Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands. (Deut 7:9)
